Englishtown’s Covo Italian Steakhouse closes after less than a year
A restaurant closing can almost feel like losing a friend.
You become familiar with the staff, you pick out a favorite dish, and you have the comfort of going somewhere familiar.
One new establishment in Monmouth County announced that it abruptly closed Monday afternoon.

After just opening in February, the owners of Covo Italian Steakhouse have decided to close their doors for good.
The restaurant fused rustic Italian warmth with classic American steakhouse confidence, delivering an elevated yet intimate dining experience.
The menu included premium steaks, Italian-influenced sides, handmade pastas, and a curated raw bar, paired with signature cocktails, a wine list, and martinis.

The closing announcement was made on the steakhouse’s social media pages.
“After much thought, we’ve made the difficult decision to permanently close Covo. Serving this community has been an honor, and we’re deeply grateful for the support, smiles, and shared meals over the years,” the staff posted on Instagram.
“Thanks for the memories, we're honored to have served Englishtown & Marlboro.”

There has not yet been an announcement on whether the owners will open a new establishment or what will move into the space at 184 Route 9 North in Englishtown, NJ.
