Brides Blitz Clifton Shop After Rumor It Was Closing

Dozens of brides, bridesmaid and relatives waited for hours in the rain after hearing rumors a Clifton bridal shop was closing.

A handwritten sign on the door at Bridals by Roma said the store was closed. Another sign advertised there was retail space for lease.

The Record newspaper reports a man, who was letting people inside, declined to be interviewed.

Some people said they had been told last week to pick up their gowns by June 1 because the store was going to be renovated.
