A Middlesex County judge on Friday lowered the bail for 20-year-old Lloyd Terry from $225,000 to $175,000.

His attorney, Wanda Akin, says Terry was despondent in jail and will get necessary care if he is released to live with his father and step-mother.

Lloyd Terry was dismissed from the team this month after being arrested and accused of a role in an April home invasion robbery. He has pleaded not guilty.

This month, school officials have kicked off six players and suspended a seventh for alleged criminal activity.
