Every week we salute a brave officer or officers who go above and beyond the call of duty to make a difference in their community. This week, two officers from the Jersey shore, in Avalon, helped save a man's life.

This week's #BlueFriday honorees are Officers Mark Glassford and Matthew Ardelean. These two officers are responsible for saving a man's life after he walked into the ocean at 2:30 am last Sunday morning. The man threatened to drown himself and told officer's to stay away. Officer Glassford followed him into the water and convinced him to return to shore. Officer Gassford even went with the man to the hospital afterwards.

We thank officers Glassford and Ardelean not only for their service, but for their bravery in risking their own lives in the ocean, to bring this man to safety.
