A manhunt for a suspect who shot a police officer led to the suspension of Amtrak's Northeast Corridor service  between Philadelphia and Wilmington, Delaware, Friday morning.

Amtrak spokesman Craig Schultz said two trains, a Northeast Corridor train and an Acela train carrying a total of 500 passengers, are being held in the area at the request of police. All other trains are being held at Philadelphia's 30th Street Station and in Wilmington.

The Folcroft Borough Facebook page requested prayers for an officer who was shot in the line of duty.

Police sources told 6 ABC that the officer, whose identity was not disclosed, was shot three times in a residential area near the Folcroft train station.
