Tony DeLuccio knows the pain of losing a loved one.

His daughter Noelle was killed in a horrific accident on a stretch of Kozloski Road in Freehold August 19th when a car driven by her boyfriend, Nicholas Dever, veered into the lane of an oncoming car.

Also killed in the crash was the driver of the other car, Thomas Koller of Freehold.

And unfortunately this past weekend, the road claimed another life – this time the life of a 7 year old boy riding with his mother Juliana Alcaraz of Howell, according to Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office spokesman Charles Webster.

This latest accident happened not far from the accident that claimed the life of DeLuccio’s daughter.
In the wake of this, Tony is calling for more to be done to improve safety on the road. And his call may be heeded by township officials.

"After the last accident we had a meeting, and we were working on it even before last night's crash."
Ammiano said there is going to be another meeting in the future, and they are going to try to meet with the commissioner of the Department of Transportation, Joseph Bertoni.

He’s proposing that speed limit signs be posted along Kozlowski – at least for now – until something could be done long term.

Tony, on his Facebook page, is calling for more to be done - like having guardrails installed along the highway!

Three of the occupants of one car collided with a van driven by a 68 year old woman in what appeared to be a drag race between 2 cars driven by students who had just finished classes at Freehold Boro High School.

I think it’s probably crossed the mind of a good many people that Kozloski Road between East Freehold and Route 33 is one of the most dangerous in the state. We almost found out the hard way ourselves when my daughter, her husband, and the kids were all in the car driving down that very stretch of road (right by the MVC facility) when a car veered into their lane as well.

Thankfully my son-in-law's quick reflexes averted tragedy.

So no matter how safely you’re driving on that particular road, it has to cross your mind.

I know it has crossed mine more than once.

Is there any stretch of road in Jersey you hate driving down?

What do you feel needs to be done to make Kozlowski Road safer?
