6-Alarm in Camden Fire Under Control

A fire at a Camden metal manufacturing plant  that went to six alarms was declared under control overnight.

Residents were urged to stay inside due to possible contamination from hazardous chemicals according to WPVI TV which reports the fire broke out around 10:45PM Monday night at the at the Magnetic Metals Corporation. 75 people were evacuated from the area as well.

The fire started in an area of the building which is rented out to small electronics parts maker. The 3 story building also contains hydrogen tanks.

Fire companies responding to the scene included crews from Cherry Hill, Collingswood, and Blackwood.
