A 15-year-old Camdn boy has been charged in connection with the shooting death of another city teen Saturday, authorities said.

Authorities say police responded to the 1200-block of Mechanic Street at about 5:28 p.m. Saturday night after receiving a 911 call. When officers arrived, they found the teenage boy on the ground, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

According to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, the teen was transported to Cooper University hospital, but died of his injuries 20 minutes later.

Following an investigation, police charged another 15-year-old with aggravated manslaughter in connection with the Camden boy's death, according to the Prosecutor's Office. The teen was processed and is being held at the Lakeland Juvenile Detention Center, police say.
