Ethan Chaplin Suspended for Twirling Pencil

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the classroom. Here comes another overreaction from a school. Here comes a story that just makes you shake your head.

Ethan Chaplin was suspended from school for of all things, twirling a pencil. Another student saw Ethan twirling the pencil and said out loud that Ethan was making gun motions and that Ethan "should be sent to juvie." As today's schools have a "no-tolerance" policy, that was all it took for Ethan to be immediately sent to the principal's office and suspended.

Ethan has since been subjected to physical and psychological testing as well as a drug test. All for what amounted to twirling a pencil. Ethan has been let back in school but could you imagine that we'd ever get to a time when school's would overreact for something as simple as this?
