This is gonna be one unpopular opinion, I know. I can't help it. I guess having met the man a few times and getting to hang out with him and enjoying it, I see Chris Christie as a fallible human being as opposed to a stubborn, obstinate politician. (Well come to think of it, I guess he's both.)

But the point is, he is forgivable.

His mistakes are forgivable. He's succumbed to some of the same weaknesses that any of us would. Instead of jumping on the "he's an ogre, he's a bully, he's a mean man, he's a failure" train, I prefer to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Believe me, I understand the ways in which he failed us, but I keep on telling myself that had it been a friend or a family member in that position, I probably wouldn't be so quick to judge. I get nothing from saying this.

I don't really know him, doubt I will ever have another conversation with him, am not a "schill" for any group. Just a member of the human race who decided to give a guy a break and not beat him when he's down.

Okay, let the trashing of my opinion ensue.
