Help Petey, Parker and Henry Find Homes [NJ Pets of the Week]

NJ101.5 has partnered with local animal rescue organizations EASEL Animal Rescue League and Sammy’s Hope to feature adoptable local pets in need of homes.

Help us find these pets homes by sharing this info with family members, friends who may be interested in adopting a shelter pet.

Adopt Petey

NJ Adoptable Pets: Petey (EASEL Animal Rescue League)
Petey (EASEL Animal Rescue League)

Petey is about a year old and hasn’t had an easy life, but he is very sweet and craves the love of humans.  He was found wandering the streets and was so skinny that you could see all of his ribs.  Although he doesn’t seem to have any training, Petey is learning commands quickly.  He needs to be fattened up and will be a very handsome boy when he’s at his good weight.  With his tan eye patch, he looks like the famous Petey from the Little Rascals.

If you’re interested in learning more about Petey or to schedule a visit, email dogs@easelnj.org. Find more of EASEL’s adoptable dogs, puppies here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.

Adopt Parker

NJ Adoptable Pets: Parker (Sammy's Hope)
Parker (Sammy’s Hope)

Parker is a stocky young man who loves walks. He’s learning his commands at a lightening pace and Sammy’s Hope volunteers are amazed at how smart he is. Parker was found as a stray and is neutered and up-to-date on all vaccinations. Come meet this brilliant boy before someone else snaps him up.

To meet Parker,  please contact Sammy’s Hope by email at info@sammyshope.org. You can download a PDF copy of the application form here or you can see more adoptable dogs from Sammy’s Hope here.

Adopt Henry

NJ Adoptable Pets: Henry is looking for a home (Sammys Hope)
Henry (Sammy’s Hope)

This stunning boy is Henry. He is a medium-sized adult male cat with handsome orange-striped fur. As soon as you open his cage, he comes to the front and begs for attention. He loves to rub his head against your hand and very much appreciates scratching under his chin. Henry is a rather mellow guy, and would make a great addition to any home. He’s currently staying at the Edison Municipal Animal Shelter.

To learn more about Henry or to schedule a visit, email cats@sammyshope.org for more information. You can download a PDF copy of the adoption application form here or you can see more adoptable cats from Sammy’s Hope here.
