All I really remember about Elisa Fiorillo is that she was gorgeous; at least the photo of her on her album was. I never seriously considered buying it, but I would still go into the record store to look at her picture. Sad, I know, but I was a teen.

She won the competition of “Star Search” when she was just a teenager and received her first record deal two years later. She then got to work with producer John “Jellybean” Benitez. The song I requested of Big Joe was the first, and most successful, of their collaborations, “Who Found Who” which went all the way to #16 in 1987.

Jellybean had previously reached the Top 20 with a song called “Sidewalk Talk” which Madonna wrote and sang backup vocals for. Fiorillo's only hit the Top 40 one more time, with the song, “On The Way Up”, in 1990. That song was written by Prince, with who she still tours as a backup singer.

Once again, I requested the song and it was never played.
