It is holiday time and Hollywood is fond of annually releasing a whole raft of new films...some good, some bad. So I thought I would share my "All time Top 10 Movie List" with you. Maybe you will reciprocate and tell me about your favorite movie(s).

Anyway, here goes:

My Top Ten List

  1. Moonstruck-Cher, Nicholas Cage- Brooklyn Italian family trying to go six ways at once. Cage, who plays a baker, has a passion for Cher and Opera, in particular, La Boheme. I am not a big Cher fan, but she did a great job here...
  2. Scent of a Woman- Al Pacino won best actor for this portrayl of a burned-out, suicidal old Army officer who finds he is still human during a Thanksgiving weekend encounter with a young man that he grudgingly takes under his wing.
  3. So I married an Axe Murderer- Best Michael Myers movie ever made.
  4. Das Boot- No happy ending here. German sailors aboard a Nazi U-boat in WWII, trapped by the confines of a steel tube and their deep-rooted sense of honor and duty.
  5. The Muppets Take Manhattan- Fine family fun. Just ask Ray Rossi!
  6. The Phantom of the Opera- 1923 silent film version starring Lon Chaney. A masterpiece.
  7. Dracula-The 1931 Universal Pictures version with Bela Lugosi. I know there have been hundreds, no, thousands of drac and vampire films made over the years, but this one is still my fav.
  8. Easy Money- Best Rodney Dangerfield movie ever made. You don't like it? Ehhh! No respect!
  9. Dances with Wolves- Kevin Costner's jewel.
  10. Master and Commander- Russell Crowe. Great film from a great book.

Well, there's my top ten movie list. Man!! This was tough! Like a lot of you, I like a lot of movies, and it was hard whittling them down to 10 favorites.

So what do you think? What do you like? What are your favorite movies?
