High temperatures yesterday reached as warm as 84 at Newark, but it was mostly in the upper 70s to near 80 later.

It was also noticeably cooler at the beaches and boardwalks with a sea breeze.

Today could make the low to middle 80s, despite some arriving clouds later this morning and this afternoon.

Speaking of this afternoon and this evening, there could be a few passing showers. It'll be noticeably cooler along the coast today.

Any evening showers will gradually taper off overnight, then partly cloudy with most lows in the 60s, but a few 50s possible in NW Jersey.

Becoming partly sunny tomorrow with less humidity and highs around 80 or so, cooler near the ocean.

Showers and thunder later Wednesday night into Thursday morning.  There could be some heavy downpours briefly.

There's partial clearing possible later Thursday with highs into the 70s.

Right now, the weekend looks okay.

We've been watching for a few days an area of disturbed weather in the Central and Southern Caribbean Sea all the way down to the Yucatan Peninsula. There's a possibility of some slow development of that, maybe yes or maybe no in the next few days.

We'll be watching.
