The Philadelphia Inquirer reports plans call for a nine-story hospital that would replace Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly, just three miles away from the proposed site.

The new campus would also feature nine other buildings, including surgical and rehabilitation centers along with a hospice and assisted living complex.

Virtua officials anticipate approximately 3,400 employees would work on the campus, which is to be built on the former Hogan Farm in Westampton Township.

If approved, construction is expected to begin in 2019 and the hospital would be completed as early as 2022.
