Twinkies Prevail – Hostess Line Sold

We spent 2 hours last Tuesday night  lamenting the disappearing Hostess cakes.  A Marine called in saying he couldn’t wait to return home for a Devil Dog only to find that they are no where to be found.

Well now comes great news for those who love the Hostess cupcakes. Sno Balls, Twinkies, Fruit Pies etc, all created by the company which decided to sell its assets rather than stay in business, accepted Apollo Global Managements 400 million dollar plus bid for the remaining Hostess cakes. This comes on the heels of Mondays sale of the Drakes line to McKee foods corp for 27.5 million.

So those precious Hostess cakes which we like so much have been saved!  This time, I hope they stay longer than the shelf life of a Twinkie!
