June 18th,1977- Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers appear at Friars Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire England with opening act The Boomtown Rats.

June 19th, 1980- Donna Summer becomes the first artist to be signed to Geffen Records.

June 20th, 1948- The Ed Sullivan Show premiered on CBS. The first episode featured Dean Martin, Jerry Lewis, Rodgers and Hammerstein, a pianist, a ballerina, a troupe of crooning firemen and a boxing referee whose next gig was the Joe Louis-Jersey Joe Wolcott match.

June 21st,1986Genesis has their fourth No.1 album in the U.K. with the album ‘Invisible Touch’. It would go on to produce five U.S. chart topping singles, making it the most successful album of their career.

June 22nd, 1963- Stevie Wonder, at 13 years old, had his first chart-topping single with, “Fingertips Parts One and Two.”

June 23rd, 1965The Yardbirds appear at The City Hall, Salisbury, England. Admission is just 10 shillings, or $1.40. This is one of their last gigs with Jeff Beck on guitar, within a week he would leave the band and be replaced by a young Jimmy Page.

June 24th 1999- Legend Eric Clapton puts 100 of his famed guitars up for auction at Christie’s in order to fund his stay at a rehab clinic.
