JUNE 10TH
1966 - Janis Joplin, performs for the first time since joining Big Brother & the Holding Company as their new lead singer. Big Brother & the Holding Company were part of the 1965 San Francisco psychedelic music scene that also produced the Grateful Dead, Quicksilver Messenger Service and Jefferson Airplane.
1978 - John Travolta and Olivia Newton John hit No.1 on the US singles chart with 'You're The One That I Want'. In 2012 we found out that one of them was lying.
1991 - Eddie Kendricks of Temptations fame, gets nabbed at band member, David Ruffin's funeral. He is arrested and charged with owing $26,000 in unpaid child support.
1992 - Rod Stewart and ex Kelly Emberg leave court after the judge throws out the case of Emberg's palimony suit against Stewart. The couple had a child in the late 80's and a 5 year relationship that ended in 1990.
