The Hunt for a Fugitive Leads to a Bunker

Authorities pumped tear gas into the structure yesterday and report hearing movement inside. But the dozens of officers are maintaining a perimeter because they believe the man inside is heavily armed and that bunker in a wooded area might be booby trapped.

Sheriff's officials say they're not sure the gas penetrated deep enough to reach the person inside, who they believed is 41-year-old Peter Keller. They also believe he has a gas mask.   Keller has not been seen since a fire at his North Bend-area home Sunday led responders to discover the bodies of his wife and daughter. The two had been shot to death.
