The Murphy administration has a new strategic plan for colleges that ties some funding to student-based outcomes. In total, it adds $14 million in funds.
Next year's state budget will likely include a new approach to funding New Jersey colleges -- an "outcomes-based" approach that rewards them for meeting goals.
Thousands of New Jersey students will begin attending community colleges tuition-free in January – though not in every county. We'll know where in September.
