Inspired by the help New Jersey got after Superstorm Sandy, some Red Cross New Jersey volunteers are paying it forward by helping with relief efforts in Louisiana.
NEW YORK (AP) -- The American Red Cross mishandled its responses to Hurricane Isaac and Superstorm Sandy in 2012 and often seemed more focused on public relations than on helping storm victims, according to a report from investigative journalism nonprofit ProPublica and NPR published Wednesday, the second anniversary of Sandy.
The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean County working with the Red Cross and the Office of Emergency Management will deliver food, blankets, and other needed items to residents affected by Hurricane Sandy on Sunday, November 11, at 1p.m.
