Well, after reaching the upper 70s and low 80s on Friday, temperatures took a decided downturn over the weekend.  So much so, that yesterday, high temperatures were just in the neighborhood of 52 to 56 from Newark to Trenton.  Normal highs are around 54, so we were close to normal.  Of course, we had some spotty light rain along the coast yesterday, and some clouds around, as well, for a while.

But, today temperatures will be in the upper 50s to perhaps the low 60s.  Although, that is the GFS forecast temperature.  The NAM forecast is decidedly cooler, although I do not necessarily tend to agree with that scenario for today.  We'll have lots of sunshine and a strong gusty wind.

There is a freeze watch, in effect, from Hunterdon, Somerset, Middlesex Counties on south for the nighttime hours upcoming because of the fact that the growing season is 2-4 weeks ahead of schedule.  We may have temperatures in the mid 20s to low 30s tonight, so watch out for that.

Temperatures will only be in the low to mid 50s tomorrow, despite lots of sunshine and a brisk wind.

Then, temperatures will recover on Wednesday back in the 60s away from the ocean with the risk of a few showers, especially Wednesday afternoon and evening.
