Should NJ grocery stores be allowed to sell alcohol? – Poll
A lot of people will tell you beer makes everything better, but the debate remains as to whether New Jersey grocery stores should be able to sell alcohol.
ShopRite's flagship store in Morristown is battling with the Hanover Township Council for the ability to serve alcohol at its 14-seat outdoor patio and in its cooking class. The store already offers more than just food, including yoga classes, childcare and a diner, and ShopRite officials say being able to sell the drinks will further enhance the shopping experience.
If you ask me, being able to buy alcohol in grocery stores would enhance the shopping experience even more. Just think of the convenience of buying food and alcohol at one store, rather than at separate locations! Some of our out-of-state neighbors enjoy this pleasure. Why not New Jersey?
