At a storm recovery briefing today in Keansburg, Governor Chris Christie said an estimated 760,000 New Jersey utility customers remain without power.

"That's still not good, but there's two million that have power, that didn't last Tuesday," Christie said

The superstorm known as Sandy made landfall in New Jersey one week ago, cutting service to an estimated 2.7 million homes and businesses.

The Governor also indicated significant progress had been made in restoring electricity to Monmouth County residents.
