PATERSON — Paterson police say a man was killed in a street shooting that left two other people wounded.

But a motive for the shooting remains under investigation.

The shooting occurred shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday in the area of Rosa Parks Boulevard and Godwin Avenue. The two wounded victims were being treated at hospitals, but further details about their conditions were not disclosed.

Authorities say all three victims were Paterson residents, but their names have not been released.

Police declined further comment on the shooting, including what type of weapon was used or how many shooters may have been involved.
