I was never big on New Year's resolutions but this year I changed that. This year I pledged to do something not only for the show but something that the audience can relate to and get behind. So every Friday will be known as #BlueFriday.

This week's honoree is Officer Michael Keane of the Lyndhurst Police Department. Officer Michael Keane was one of the many integral responders on the scene to help rescue passengers trapped on the Amtrak derailment in Philly.

The Shore Academy School sent us an amazingly heartwarming Tweet to not only thank Officer Keane but all the NJ police officers who keep us safe. Check out the quick video they made!

While discussing Officer Kean's heroics on air, Michael's father John called in to the show to say how touched he was by the gesture and how NJ's police need something like this. Listen to the call below.

That effort goes above and beyond any expectations and needs to be recognized. A very special thank you goes out to Officer Michael Keane and we are proud to make him a #BlueFriday honoree.

In case you missed it, below is the video of Lt. Gov Kin Guadagno and myself introducing the concept of #BlueFriday.

Do you know of an officer who is deserving of being highlighted for #BlueFriday? Fill out the quick form and let us hear about them!
