The Liberty Lake Day camp, in a letter sent to parents, is urging families to talk with their children about an instructor charged with possession of child pornography.

In the letter, Liberty Lake Day Camp stresses Daniel M. Chance — a high ropes instructor, former camper and current college student from Moorestown — hasn't been accused of any inappropriate relationships with minors.

What's more, owner Andy Pritikin says in the letter, "Dan was never alone with the campers, never at the changing rooms with the campers, and always worked alongside at least one (usually several) other experienced staff members while facilitating the high ropes course."

Still, the camp reminds parents, it can't control what happens outside of the camp day.

"Thus, you should consider asking your child(ren) if Dan had any interactions with them outside of Liberty Lake. I am in contact with the county prosecutor’s office as well as child abuse experts, and will relay any information we find out directly to them," Pritikin writes.

Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi and Moorestown Acting Police Director Lt. Lee Lieber announced Chance's arrest Monday. They say Chance, 23, was using a file sharing program to distribute images of toddlers being sexually molested and having intercourse with adult men.

Chance was charged with one count of endangering welfare of children in the second degree for distribution of child pornography, and one count of endangering the welfare of children in the third degree for possession of child pornography.

A search warrant was executed at his residence that resulted in the seizure of electronic devices, authorities said. Chance was taken into custody Friday morning at the residence of a friend in Moorestown.

He was released from Burlington County Jail after posting $100,000 bail.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about Chance to contact the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office at 609-265-5436.
