Authorities have arrested a southern New Jersey man for the murders of a mother and son found stabbed to death in their home four weeks ago.

Patrick Latko was arrested Wednesday at his residence in Wenonah, in Gloucester County. The 32-year-old was being held on $2 million bail. It was not known if he had retained a lawyer.

He's charged with the murders of 64-year-old Diana Patterson and her 29-year-old son, Ryan. Their bodies were discovered on the morning of November 3 in their house in Hammonton. Both had been stabbed multiple times.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office says a knife discovered in the yard of another Hammonton residence three days after the murders is believed to be the murder weapon.
