Although the Meadowlands is in East Rutherford, about 100 miles from the shore resort, the Southern Ocean Chamber Of Commerce is using the big game as a way to bring new visitors to the area.

"The national media coverage is a key component and for those staying a few days, we want them to know that LBI has something to offer everyone and we hope to bring people back in at other points during the tourism season," said Lori Pepenella, destination marketing director.

Because the national media will be putting a huge spotlight on New Jersey, the chamber, along with several businesses in the community, feels the opportunity to spread the message on such a grand and epic scale can do wonders for an area hit hard by Superstorm Sandy.

The chamber has put together ads that will appear as the big event approaches. They are also appealing to those fans who need a place to stay when there's no vacancy around. Many hotels, restaurants and shops will be open during the event.
