Like kids wringing their hands waiting for their report cards to come out, some hospitals in New Jersey must have felt the nervous. The most recent Leapfrog Hospital Safety report was just released. It grades hospitals on how well or poorly patients are kept safe from mistakes, accidents, injuries, etc.

If you're University Hospital in Newark or East Orange Hospital in East Orange you can't be too thrilled. They both received a D.

The hospital where my son soon has to have an endoscopy to determine whether he has Celiac disease, Overlook in Summit, received a B. I feel good about that. As did my own town's hospital, Hunterdon Medical Center.
