Work to remove the only three traffic lights on the Garden State Parkway is slated to begin in December.

Turnpike Authority chief engineer Richard Raczynski tells the Press of Atlantic City officials have struck a deal to avoid conflicts involving state required wetlands mitigation.

The $125 million project in Cape May County calls for constructing concrete overpasses and ramps.

The traffic lights at Crest Haven Road, Stone Harbor Boulevard and Shell Bay are the only lights on the 173-mile toll road. They're blamed for stalling traffic and causing accidents.
