‘Far From Over’ by Frank Stallone — Doyle’s ‘Not-So-Top-10′ List

Yes, of course he’s Sylvester’s brother, but did you know that Frank Stallone had THREE Hot 100 hits? The other two were only minor hits though (#67 & 81), nowhere near as popular as “Far From You”, which hit #10 in 1983.

The song was on the soundtrack to the film Staying Alive (the sequel to Saturday Night Fever), and was nominated for a Golden Globe (the album was also nominated for a Grammy). He may be just as famous for being a running gag on Saturday Night Live when Norm McDonald used to do the Weekend Update segment or for defeating Geraldo Rivera in a boxing match on the Howard Stern show (yes, he was an amateur boxer).
