Deminski’s Rahway theater memories: Revered manager’s granddaughter calls in

Whenever childhood memories come up in conversation on the air, Jeff Deminski often brings up his days spent at the Rahway Movie Theater, and a manager whom he admired for years. She was a no-nonsense mainstay at the Rahway Theater, and Jeff always brings up stories about his interactions with her from when he was a kid.

When Deminski & Doyle took calls about things you miss in New Jersey, the manager's granddaughter, Lynn from Basking Ridge, surprised us all by calling in and thanking Jeff for keeping her memory alive. It turns out her name was Amelia, and Lynn was very aware of her grandmother's celebrity status in the eyes of Jeff and the other kids back in the day.
