Democratic frontrunner Cory Booker has agreed to two debates with Republican Steve Lonegan in New Jersey's special U.S. Senate race.Booker says the first will be Oct. 4 in Trenton and will be sponsored by ABC affiliates WABC-TV in New York and WPVI-TV in Philadelphia, as well as Univision and The Record.

The second is scheduled for Oct. 9 at Rowan University in Glassboro. It is to be sponsored by the NBC affiliate in Philadelphia, WCAU-TV; The Philadelphia Inquirer and Rowan. It will also be carried by WNBC-TV in New York and broadcast on Telemundo and Comcast.

The winner of the Oct. 16 special election will fill the remaining 15 months of the term of the late Sen. Frank Lautenberg, who died in June.
