And while there was no obligation to attend Mass on Ash Wednesday, it's still one of the days that "PACE" Catholics feel they MUST attend Mass.

(PACE is the acronym for Palm Sunday, Ash Wednesday, Christmas, Easter).

Admittedly, while not a PACE Catholic, I'll go to church occasionally. Not proud of that fact, but that's true.

However, if there' one thing I'm reminded of on this day, besides the religious significance of it all, is perspective.

Perspective in that you come into this world with basically nothing (like little Nicky Boy, screaming and yelling his head off);

and even though you may have attained greatness, still leave it the way you came in.
