Sunday afternoon, an 84 year old driver was pulling out of a gas station in Watchung when he struck another vehicle, sending all three occupants to the hospital, then drove across the street onto someone's property and crashed into the front porch of their home.

How much more of this are we going to put up with before we get mad enough to do something about it? Many other states have been re-testing their senior drivers to some degree for years while New Jersey does absolutely nothing. 95-year olds here get their driver's licenses automatically renewed by mail no questions asked.

Spineless politicians in New Jersey are so afraid of losing the elderly vote that they do nothing, even if doing nothing means some of those very elderly die on our roads or kill others. Does something need to change?
