25-year-old Greg Woodman and 19-year-old Michael Sloan Jr. face a number of charges for the the fires that burned nearly 400 acres according to WPVI.

Woodman & Sloan were seen running from National Paving in Pine Hill as the New Jersey Forrest Service began to fight  a large brush  fire at the nearby Boy Scouts of America Scout Reservation on New Freedom Road on Wednesday

Police say Woodman and Sloan admitted to each starting one of the brush fires and intended to steal copper & tools from National Paving.

Both suspects remain in the Camden County Correctional Facility on charges of arson and related crimes.

Officials had considered the fires to be suspicious as they were started so close to each other. The fires were the first of several forest fires across the state in the past week in Tabernacle, Barnegat and in the Meadowlands.
