Police say a 35-year-old Linden man has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run accident that killed an off-duty New York City police officer Sunday.
New Jersey State Police are investigating a serious multi-vehicle crash on the NJ Turnpike in the Cranbury area, state police said in a Facebook post Thursday evening.
"Occasionally we get these really spectacular accidents or crashes involving fire out on the Turnpike," Capt. Stephen Jones of the New Jersey State Police said. "It's just a coincidence when you get a couple of them close together."
