New Jersey State Police are investigating a serious multi-vehicle crash on the NJ Turnpike in the Cranbury area, state police said in a Facebook post Thursday evening.


Travelers heading nortbound on the NJ Turnpike through the Cranbury area are being diverted to the inner car lanes and police and emergency crews arrive on the scene. According to the NJSP Facebook post, the crash occurred near milepost 70.6 in the truck lanes.

Police say motorists using the turnpike in that area should "expect major delays" as the investigation continues.

No additional information regarding the vehicles involved or injuries is available at this time.
