Authorities say a crowd had gathered on 16th Street Thursday night to mourn the death of the man who died earlier in a one-car motor vehicle accident.

Police say the suspect got out of a dark-colored vehicle, fired several shots, got back in the vehicle and fled.

Authorities say the five people shot suffered non-life-threatening wounds and all but one had been released from the hospital as of Friday afternoon.

Police have not released their names but say one of the victims is a 10-year-old girl who was wounded in the ankle.

No arrests have been made in the ongoing investigation.
