NEWARK, N.J. (AP) -- Two shootings in Newark have left two people dead and three wounded.

Authorities say the first shooting happened around 9 p.m. Saturday on the 700 block of South 20th Street in the city's West Ward. Police arrived to find 23-year-old Zaire Williams of Irvington dead from a gunshot wound.

At about 11:30 p.m., police responded to a report of shots fired on South Orange Avenue about a mile and a half from the first shooting. They found four victims at the scene, one of whom, 36-year-old Lisa Parker of Orange, was pronounced dead. The other three were in stable condition at University Hospital.

It's not known if the shootings are related.

The Essex County Sheriff's Crime Stoppers is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
