Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes declined to discuss the fatal shootings at length or disclose the names of those killed, citing the ongoing investigation. But she says it appears the three all knew each other and that there was a history of domestic violence among them.

The shootings occurred early Tuesday at the Westmount Village apartment complex in Woodland Park, and two of the victims were under age 30.

Authorities say a man who was among those killed apparently shot the two other victims before killing himself. Valdes says investigators still are sorting out the sequence of events that led to the shootings.
