In my spare time, I listen to music (I have a large CD and vinyl record library). I walk, and I work out at the gym. I enjoy books with cool characters and clever plotlines (Stephen King, for example). And, I'm turning my dirtbike into an on-road motorcycle. So look out, here I come! Feel free to visit The Night Shift's Facebook page for lots of album covers and other cool stuff as a companion to the show.

NJ is the Crossroads of the Revolution
Here in New Jersey, we are surrounded by American History.
From major battles in Morristown, Princeton and Trenton...to skirmishes everywhere in between.
We are so used to this (or unaware, possibly), that we take little notice.
I was walking (putting lots of steps on my Fitbit on a nice day), when I came across the Historical Marker seen at the top of the page...
Is the money still safe inside the truck?
I was headed into my nearest mega-superstore for a few essentials when I passed this scene out front!
Seeing as I am always on the lookout for the interesting, the unusual, or just a slice of New Jersey, I snapped this picture and continued on my way into the store...
What long-gone New Jersey stores do you miss?
With the recent closure of all of their stores in the U.S., we can no longer be "Toys R Us kids."
Like "Geoffrey" (their mascot), we've had to...grow up.
While it is an international company, did you know that Toys R Us was headquartered in Wayne...
New Jersey drivers: Happy 4th of July 1976
Happy 4th of July, New Jersey!
Enjoy the day...remember the reason why we celebrate. And, remember those who sacrificed for our freedom!
In 1975...with the Bicentennial just around the corner...New Jersey drivers had the option to buy a special license plate, celebrating America's 200th birthday...
Make Craig Allen’s Chocolate Brownies
Once again, your pal Craig is coming to the rescue: Make these brownies your contribution to Wednesday's "4th of July" festivities!
After I made these brownies for the first time...
I wondered WHY anyone would ever make brownies from a box, again...

What’s New Jersey’s favorite coffee ‘to go’? [POLL]
Here in New Jersey, we're always on the go.
Our work hours are crazy, and/or it seems like they never end.
And then, there's the "honey do" list when we (finally) get home.
Consequently, we need a "pick-me-up" as we start the day...

Happy 70th Birthday to the LP Vinyl Record!
If the 33&1/3 rpm vinyl record was presented a birthday cake, it would have 70 candles!
The long play record (LP) was developed by CBS Laboratories, and introduced to the world by CBS' Goddard Lieberson on June 20th, 1948.
First, some quick history:
Since the beginning of the phonograph, most records (10-inch, 78-rpm discs used since the 1890's) played for about two or three minutes.
