13-Year-Old Toms River Boy Steals, Crashes Car

A 13-year-old boy from Toms River stole a car from a business park and then crashed  it when he saw his mother drive past him.

The unidentified boy took the car from the Bay View Corporate Center on Hooper Avenue in Toms River according to WNBC TV and drove the busy roadway to Brokaw Boulevard.  When he saw his mother drive past him, he became distracted and drove the car into a tree.

The boy was charged with reckless driving and operating without a license. He was hospitalized with a broken nose and hip injury.
