What’s Your Reaction to the Breed Discrimination Bill? [POLL]

State Senator Jeff Van Drew is introducing legislation that would prohibit home insurance companies from discriminating against certain breeds of dogs.

Insurers, under the legislation, would not be allowed to refuse to issue, renew or cancel a homeowner's policy based just on the breed of dog owned by the policyholder. The insurer does however have the ability, under the bill to not insure the animal, and it also allows the insurer to charge a policyholder more if they own a particular breed of dog.
