Senator Jon Bramnick has co-introduced legislation that would fine telemarketers if they do not provide the information the caller requests of them when the telemarketer calls.

According to Kevin McArdle, the proposed bill states that, upon request, telemarketers must give their name, mailing address and the name of the person on whose behalf they’re calling.

Senator Bramnick called into the show this morning to discuss the proposed legislation and why he has decided to pursue this for NJ residents. Listen to the interview in the audio player below.
