Jon Stewart says it's the longest job he's ever held and it's time to step aside and let someone else have a crack at it. He announced last night that later this year he will step down as host of The Daily Show after 17 years. I'm sure he doesn't remember it, but when Jon was just starting out, as were we, Bill and I interviewed him right here on NJ101.5 when we held the afternoon show from '94-'99. As he gets ready to sign off from The Daily Show he's the same gracious, down to earth guy he was back then only even more brilliant. I wish him all the best in whatever he does.

Jon Stewart did so many great things over the years, had so many great interviews, so many passionate, hysterical rants. It is impossible to pick a favorite. Instead I'm picking one that has nothing to do with politics. Among my favorite was his over the top, passion fueled rant in defense of what New Jerseyans hold sacred...real pizza. If you've never seen it, check it out in the video below.
