A man who was under the influence of drugs when he caused a crash that killed a northern New Jersey police officer and later pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Morris County prosecutors say an investigation into the death of a Mount Arlington police officer found the motorist who crashed into his cruiser on Interstate 80 had codeine, morphine and two other drugs in his system at the time.
