New Jersey is entering peak wildfire season, and because of a wet and active winter, the state's Forest Fire Service hasn't been able to act as proactively as it'd like in order to reduce the chances of a significant fire event this spring and summer.

The head of the New Jersey Forest Fire Service says even a small out- of-control fire in the Garden State could become "catastrophic” because we’re so densely populated.

The fireworks going off nightly aren't the same ones legalized by the state in 2017.
