The head of the company hired to clean up the Fenimore Landfill in Roxbury was arrested at his home on charges he diverted $5 million in fees to his personal account and lied about his company's ability to convert the site into a solar farm.

Gov. Christie was confronted by a group of angry protesters as he approached the NJ 101.5 studios earlier today on his way to the Ask the Governor program. The protesters are concerned about hydrogen sulfide emissions wafting from the Fenimore landfill into the nearby town of Roxbury, in Morris County, and say Christie isn't doing enough to help battle the problem.

Jim has discussed the huge problem in Roxbury Township with the Fenimore Landfill and how it is making pick sick over the last few weeks. If this video shot just the other day doesn't evoke a response out of state officials to do something to help the residents there, we don't know what will.

We received a copy of a very powerful note and video sent to us by listener Ljnda from Roxbury and we wanted to share it with you.  The letter and video are a plea for assistance helping with the removal of the Fenimore landfill.

Smelly and potentially dangerous hydrogen sulfide gas continues to waft out of the Fenimore landfill, even as the state Department of Environmental Protection continues to work to permanently cap the landfill.
